This is a 1:48 resin model kit of the All Terrain Defense Pod (AT-DP) inspired by the One Man Scout Walker concept drawing from Joe Johnston.

Later this was canonized by being featured in the animated series.

It is cast from Smooth-On Smooth-Cast 305 resin.

The kit contains:

Sixteen individually cast pieces.
A piece of brass or plastic rod.
A piece of brass tube.
Instructions.

When completed the model stand 10.5 inches (26.67 cm) tall.

Description

The All Terrain Defense Pod (AT-DP) was a bipedal Imperial walker manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards prior to and during the Galactic Civil War.

AT-DPs were used throughout the Empire to keep the populations of occupied worlds in line and to combat insurgent forces. It served as the mainstay of backwater garrisons and support for larger war machines.

This project is a collaboration with Ken’s Model Works. Ken Skiffington scratch built a styrene maquette study model. This was used as the basis for sculpting the model in Tinkercad, a web based cad program.

The model was then mastered on Formlabs Form2 resin printer and then molded and cast in 16 individual pieces.

This is a unique model kit that rivals injection mold commercial kits in ease of assembly and quality.

Must have for the serious Star Wars modelers and collectors.
