It is cast from Smooth-On brand resin.

The kit is made up from:

  • The Mothership is a three piece, high quality resin casting.
  • Devil’s Tower base to support the model.
  • One 3/16″ acrylic rod.
  • Steel rod for spires/antenna.

With the release of Ready Player One and the return of all the nostalgia television it seems appropriate to bring back the Close Encounters Mothership mini model kit. If you love UFO’s or Senior Spielberg’s seminal work, or just into model making, this is a must have!

This is a reissue of this classic model kit, which means you will need basic model making, painting and minor fabrication skills.
